Senior Checkout
You will receive your Senior Checkout Form in your Government and Economics classes during the last week of May.
We just wanted to give you some tips and reminders to make the checkout process easy, manageable, and stress-free. Monday, June 9th is Senior Checkout. You’ll want to have everything done before then in order to make the day smooth and carefree.
Here’s how:
- Get your teachers to sign your Checkout Form senior finals week (Friday at the latest). You have your Senior Trip on Friday, June 6th and Checkout is first thing Monday morning. This week is your ONLY days to get teacher signatures!
- Pay or resolve any school fees or book bills. You can do this in the LIBRARY. If you have to run around trying to find books and turn them in or come up with money to pay for them on Monday, you’ll most likely miss Senior Checkout…possibly causing you to miss Graduation Practice. AVOID THIS SCENARIO.
- Complete the Senior Survey online BEFORE MONDAY. The College and Career Specialist Keila Itzun, will sign this before Monday. If you wait until Senior Checkout, you’ll clog up the line and may miss your Counselor time. Check your email for the link or log into your Naviance account.
- Request your Final Transcript to be sent to your college through Parchment.
- Confirm with your counselor that the transcripts from any online course you’ve taken have been received. Counselors will not sign off on you graduating if any online courses are still outstanding.
- Show up to Senior Checkout on Monday at the time specified on your sheet (Times are determined by counselor) to Gus Gym with your form in hand. You’ll enter the gym on the Pool Side, through the door closest to the Miller Parking Lot (to the right of the Weight Room).
- Don't lose your form. The last stop in the gym, Cap and Gown pick up. You will exchange your completed form for a Cap and Gown set. Staff will sign off and collect your form.
Remember, the Senior Checkout Process is how we confirm that you are earning your diploma and cleared to participate in both Graduation Practice and ultimately, the GRADUATION CEREMONY. Don’t let procrastinating on these last few steps undo all the hard work you’ve put in and prevent you from walking across that stage. We’re so proud of all of you and can’t wait to see what you do in your future.
